RED MEDIC -THE POEM-

I
am

going to crash
if I don't do something quick,
maybe just a little prick,
maybe needles, I don't know.

there's nothing strange about
the company that I keep,
though they often tend to cheep,
no, it's hoot, no... it's coo.

also, people tend to make assumptions
by the people I invite,
wide of girth and greatest height,
hah, yes, a friend indeed,
a man in need,
of a few extra holes, and perhaps a new heart

and despite my rosy hue,
i have nothing against blue,
indeed I find find them quite useful,
if not insistent that I cull them

silly creatures, bent on death
don't you know the value of life?
saved from blackness, I was kind
and yet you ask for a knife.

no
not with a meat-shield
and no comprehensive grasp
of if this will work
because of course, I trust in medicine
science, and above all, luck
which comes to me quite a lot

along with inspiration
while I'm hiding
